Dry, Aging and Tired Skin

Dull skin can often look lifeless and make one look tired and old. Dry, fatigued and aging skin in need of sun-damage repair requires high concentrations of potent antioxidants helping to rid skin of free radicals and to boost cellular turnover.

Saffron's exfoliating qualities make it a wonderful aid in clearing and brightening up the complexion. Multani mitti removes the dead cells from the skin making space for it to breathe. Anti-ageing ingredients like Coconut oil are very moisturizing but also contain anti fungal, antibacterial and antimicrobial properties which help brighten the complexion and prevent environmental damage.

While the lactic acid in yogurt will helps dissolve dead skin and tighten pores. The result will be moist, firmer-looking and exceptionally smooth skin with a newly refined radiance.

Cleansing your skin in the morning and applying a skin clarifying lotion is essential to getting clear skin.

Cleanse with the Luxe Saffron Cleanser. You will need Fuller's earth (Multani mitti), Borax (Suhaga), Saffron (Kesar), and Rose water for this recipe:


On dry skin, apply a liberal amount of the paste so as to coat the entire face (include the neck, if you experience breakouts on your neck), keep for 10 minutes and rinse well. Pat skin dry and immediately follow with an OTC organic moisturizer suited for Dry Aging Skin (If you want to make one at home look up the standard regimen).

  • Let it sit at room temperature until the cream hardens, close the jar’s lid, and store in a cool

Take a cotton ball/pad and soak it in some Geranium Oil Toner. This is a very simple recipe for which you will need Geranium oil, and Rose water. Here's how you make this:
  • Add a few drops of geranium oil to rose water for added hydration.

  • Combine Bengal Gram (Besan), Turmeric Powder, Milk in a bowl and mix until smooth, adding a little water if necessary.

Exfoliate your skin for 5 minutes on application of the paste. Leave it to dry and wash the face with warm water after 10 minutes.

  • Blend some soaked almonds to form a paste.
  • Mix and blend yogurt, saffron and sandalwood powder with it.
  • It should be stored in refrigeration.
